Fender Update

Just wanted to let you know that we got another fender shipment and we have the new polished alloy VO 58mm fluted 650b fender. These fits tires up to 46mm wide.

We also have a more of our popular 45mm x 700c hammered fenders. These are selling very fast so we'll probably run out again.

And we have the VO 48mm x 700c fluted fenders again.

Finally, the 37mm x 700c alloy fenders are back. These fit tires up to 28mm.

Any chance for a Velo Orange 700c version of the Le Paon/Zeppelin fenders? The Honjo version is lovely but frightfully expensive.

Also are there any updates on the Mafac/TA style brake mounted front racks?

VO has carried a 700c version of the Zeppelin for a couple years now.
FE-0019-700 is our model number.
End of July is when we can expect the Dia Compe racks.

When you say that the 37mm fenders will fit up to a 28mm tire, how precise is that? I mean, would they fit a Challenge Parigi-Roubaix, which actually measures more like 29 once it's aired up and stretched out a bit?

Sorry I should have been more specific about the fenders being in a narrower size, maybe 700c x 45mm? The 700c x 52mm fenders I don't think will fit most older brake/fork setups (in my case Mafac center pull caliper brakes on 1983 PX-10).

Last year, I bought the fluted 700c x 48mm fenders as "place holders" until you got the Le Paon back in stock . . . but I like these so much, I'm just gonna leave 'em on. They look great, work great, and are a great value.

Nice! I was thinking of a possible 700c build in my future... Perhaps I should snag some fenders now so I'm all set when I stumble across the perfect frame.

I'd still love to see a 650b fender in a smaller width. Something in the low-40s would look perfect over a pair of Ruffy Tuffys or Nifty Swiftys.

A 650b version of the 45mm hammered fender is planned. It's easy to change the radius, or wheel size, of an existing fender, but changing the width requires new and expensive tooling.

Is info@velo-orange.com still a valid email address? Where should we send questions about specific products?

info@velo-orange.com is it.
